nonyeazode24My dad is a psychopath and has abused us and is still abusing us till date. I've tried praying for him and wishing him well but his behavior is getting increasingly difficult and abusive. I feel my tank is getting dry and all I feel is anger. Truth be told I want God to give him a little bit of the suffering we have endured at his hands, for him to know what it feels like. I'm too angry to pray for him

God can turn the situation around in a heartbeat. You’re being tested on the virtues of faith, patience and perseverance. Pray for him and let Jesus know that you have forgiven your father. pillow.bliss@holylove777 this is s beautiful and holy reply. I was carjacked, kidnapped, almost Murdered and raped. I started praying the Lords Prayer out loud while he was attempting to bash my head in with a bottle in the backseat of my car. God came to my rescue and stopped him when he immediately put his head in his hands and started shaking violently saying “what is happening to me“. I have forgiven him and I pray for him every day. Through prayer I have learned compassion for him. He is in prison for 35 years. I have been counseling rape victims and I tell them that this is too big for you. You have to hand it over to God and to pray for the abuser. They Tell me they can’t even mention his name. I say to them just think of him because God knows your heart. He will do the rest. It is amazing that I actually get tears in my eyes when VINE calls me to let me know if he is in the hospital. And I pray for him and ask God to help him. There is so much power in forgiveness and so much healing. I have found that I am the one who receives the grace.

pillow.bliss@holylove777 Well since you mentioned this beautiful little Martyr... My dear Mother passed away on her feast day July 6 in 2006. My daughter who loved my mother so very much, at age 13, picked Saint Maria Goretti as her Confirmation saint, which was years before this happened. She is a patron Saint for rape victims. Nothing is a coincidence when it comes to God’s Design. I actually went to go see Saint Maria in Ocala when her relics were being brought around to Churches in Florida. I love her and will be praying for her intercession for @nonyeazode24. There is nothing God cannot do.
