World Over – 2018-11-09 – Bishops’ Response on Abuse, Msgr. Charles Pope...

My brothers and sisters, just like the Holy Trinity where we have three persons but 1 God, “The Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit”-We also have three parts that make up the “Communion of Saints” within’ the Body of Christ and his bride, “The Church.”..3 parts of the Church= 1 Church and Body..

#1. The first part is “The Church Militant”...That is us, who are the faithful of the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church, who are here on earth fighting the good fight defending the Church against all evils and wrong doings, through the grace God has given us..We are to continue to build her up by doing God’s will..There is so much wicked going on out here and it shall not be ignored..We are not only to be striving to be more Holy, but we need to be constantly striving to be “Saints”(The Church Triumphant), as our Blessed Mother Mary was, as she was the greatest human to have ever lived, and was the greatest Saint of all!..Our Blessed Mother, Our Holy Saints and Angels, including the Martyrs of the Church,stood firm with Christ and his bride, and we must seek their guidance and intercession to help us in our battle.

#2. The 2nd part of the Communion of Saints are “The Church Suffering aka “The Church Penitent”..They are those who have died and are in Purgatory going through a process of purification and cleansing before entering Heaven..Let’s remember that Purgatory is not a temporary hell, But is a gateway to Heaven after we pay our full bill of penance..Many Catholics and those outside the Church believe all their loved ones and friends, etc. go straight to Heaven and turn into an Angel, But that’s only wishful thinking..That is simply not true and is not taught by the church..Sacred Tradition and scripture does not back that false doctrine and belief up..The fact and reality, is that most of us when we die will do time in “Purgatory”, which is a dogma and doctrine of the Church, so if one is Catholic you must believe in it, or you simply are not Catholic..Saint John wrote in Rev. 21: 27 “that nothing unclean will enter Heaven”, so let’s not look at Purgatory as a bad thing..It’s just that we need purged from our uncleanliness before entering his Kingdom..Even If we are in God’s grace when we die, we still have some impurity and uncleanliness within’ us.. And let’s remember to continue to pray everyday for all of the souls in Purgatory and to offer up all of our suffering,” Physical,Spiritual, and Mental” for them, because through our prayers and offering up our Sufferings, we put them on a faster track to Heaven.

#3. The final part of the Communion of Saints is “The Church Triumphant”..They are our Saints, Angels, and Martyrs in Heaven..They are the ordinary men and women who eventually lived God’s will and said yes to him always..They turned ordinary into extraordinary by the pure grace of God..They ran the race and finished and won!..They are there for us to imitate, and to turn to for help, comfort, guidance, through our intercessory prayers..They fought the good fight while here on earth, and through their guidance and by taking our prayers to our Lord, they help us fight the good fight for Christ and his Catholic Church..So Just always to remember that no matter what the devil throws at the Church, he told Pope Saint Peter and us that the gates of hell will not prevail against his One true church ever!..So we must do as The Church Triumphant did while on earth and not run when trouble comes knocking, but to stand and fight the evil that presents itself
