2675 Na temelju te jedinstvene Marijine suradnje u djelu Duha Svetoga, Crkve su razvile molitvu svetoj Bogorodici, usredotocujuci je na osobu Krista koji se ocitovao u svojim otajstvima. U nebrojenim hvalospjevima i antifonama, koji su izraz toj molitvi, obicno se izmjenjuju dva naglaska: jedan "velica" Gospodina zbog "velikih djela" koja je ucinio svojoj poniznoj sluzbenici, i po njoj svim ljudima; drugi Isusovoj Majci povjerava molbe i hvale djece Bozje, jer ona sada poznaje covjecanstvo, s kojim se Sin Bozji u njoj kao zarucnik zdruzio. 2676 Taj dvostruki naglasak molitve Mariji nasao je povlasteni izraz u molitvi "Zdravo, Marijo":
"Zdravo, Marijo (Raduj se, Marijo)". Ta molitva pocinje pozdravom andjela Gabriela, kojim sam Bog pozdravlja Mariju. Nasa se molitva usudjuje preuzeti taj pozdrav Mariji s pogledom koji je Bog svrnuo na svoju poniznu sluzbenicu, i radovati se radoscu koju On u njoj nalazi.
"Zdravo milosti puna, Gospodin s Tobom": te dvije rijeci andjelova pozdrava uzajamno se razjasnjuju. Marija je puna milosti jer je Gospodin s njom. Milost kojom je ispunjena jest prisutnost Onoga koji je izvor svake milosti. "Raduj se (...) Kceri jeruzalemska (...) Gospodin je posred tebe" (Sef 3,14. 17a). Marija, u koju dolazi da se nastani Gospodin, sama je Kci sionska, kovceg zavjetni, mjesto gdje prebiva slava Gospodnja: ona je "sator Bozji s ljudima" (Otk 21,3). "Puna je milosti", jer je sva predana Onomu koji dolazi nastaniti se u njoj i kojeg ce ona darovati svijetu.
"Blagoslovljena ti medju zenama i blagoslovljen plod utrobe tvoje, Isus". Poslije andjelova podzdrava usvajamo Elizabetin: "Napunjena Duha Svetoga" (Lk 1,41), Elizabeta je prva u dugom nizu narastaja koji Mariju proglasuju blazenom: "Blazena ti sto povjerova" (Lk 1,45); Marija je "blagoslovljena medju zenama" jer je povjerovala u ispunjenje rijeci Gospodnje. Abraham je svojom vjerom postao blagoslov za "sva plemena na zemlji" (Post 12,3). Svojom vjerom, Marija je postala majka onih koji vjeruju. Zahvaljujuci njoj svi narodi zemlje primaju Onoga koji je sam Bozji blagoslov: Isusa, "blagoslovljeni plod utrobe njezine".
